The executive of ANZAST are excited to announce the introduction of a Post-Fellowship Education and Training (PFET) Program in Trauma Surgery.
The program has been developed for Fellows who have completed their training in general, orthopaedic and vascular surgery, with an aim to facilitate their training as sub-specialised trauma surgeons. The GSA (General Surgeons Australia) Trauma Training Committee in collaboration with ANZAST, is responsible for the delivery of the program, as well as post accreditation and supervision and assessment of the Post-Fellowship Trainees.
Applications for general surgeons will open in March 2019, for training to commence in 2020. It is anticipated that applications for vascular and orthopaedic surgeons will be open as soon as possible.
