2020 Damian McMahon Trauma Paper Competition

Congratulation Dr Enoch Wong, who’s paper titled Use of Canadian C-spine rule in blunt trauma significantly reduces the number of cervical spine imaging performed whilst maintaining sensitivity, has been awarded best paper at the 2020 Damian McMahon Paper Competition.

With the cancellation of the RACS Annual Scientific Congress this year, the Damian McMahon Trauma Paper Competition was moved to a virtual platform. The competition was hosted by RACS on Saturday 29th August, and included presentations from 11 eligible speakers.

The winner of the Damian McMahon prize is invited to represent Australia and New Zealand at the ATLS Region XVI meeting, scheduled as a virtual meeting for November.
